The family enterprise, as a fundamental element in the productive fabric of any country, has to be alert to any changes in society, whatever their origin social, political, economic, etc, but above all, economic changes.
This implies both adapting to such changes, as well as, on occasions, initiating forward.
It is the intention of the
Family Enterprise Institute that this participation is
spread and accepted as a significant force by forming an institutional presence at forums where the development of economic policy is discussed.
In order to
take part in these forums and offer family
enterprises the appropriate training to enable
them to be more competitive, the Institute
works constantly to provide a centre for
debate where every opinion will be heard
and analysed, and from which new initiatives
can emerge. With this objective, we are constantly
liaising with top-level institutions and
offer a Study Service which puts together
an array of reports and proposals.
The economic
debates that take place in the Institute
revolve around two major themes. In the first
instance, they place an emphasis on the factors
that determine the general economic environment:
· Growth of social
welfare. · Scientific and technological
innovation. · Productivity and employment. · Free
competition. · Globalisation and
economic opening.
Secondly, they address the factors
that we believe are a priority for the competitive
development of Spanish family-owned enterprises:
· Good corporate
governance and social responsibility. · Development
of a fiscal framework that incentivises
investment. · Business leadership. · Generational
transition. · Professionalisation
and staff training.
